Douglas Coudrey, age 26 of Eastport, and Kenneth Regan, age 25 of Centereach, received their convictions on Tuesday, Feb. 6, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
The jury deliberated for three hours.
On January 14, 2020, 27-year-old Justin Gottlieb, who was recently engaged and had an infant daughter, was driving home to Plainview from his electrical engineering job in Jericho.

As he was driving in his red Ford Explorer, he was being followed by Coudrey and Regan in a white Ford Fusion.
Gottlieb pulled up to his parent’s home just after 5:30 p.m. It was next door to his own house, according to the DA’s Office.
Coudrey and Regan’s Ford Fusion pulled up beside him and shot twice, hitting Gottlieb in the chest and leg.
The man was able to stumble into his parent’s house, where he told them about the car and the pair of shooters.
A short time later, he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Just four days later, Coudrey and Regan are accused of shooting another driver, this time on Interstate 80 in Lodi, New Jersey. During this alleged attack, one person was killed and another passenger was wounded.
“Justin Gottlieb was a young father and electrical engineer who was senselessly murdered by Douglas Coudrey and Kenneth Regan after an encounter on his drive home from work,” said DA Anne T. Donnelly.
“I thank the jury for their service in this case and we extend our condolences to Justin’s many family members and friends as they continue to mourn his loss.”
The two men were found guilty of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Both are due back for sentencing on Friday, Mar. 20, where they face a potential maximum sentence of 40 years to life in prison.
Their New Jersey case is being handled by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
